Paulette’s foray into photography has been many years in the making as she was and is the one who takes the family photographs. Whilst living in the UK as a young child she dreamt of capturing the beauty of the English countryside. She migrated to Jamaica as a young teenager and has always pursued her passion for photography at the amateur level taking her snapshots wherever she travelled.
In 2013 she began her photography tutelage under the feet of Miss Donette Zacca at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts and in 2015 at Saana studios. In 2016 Paulette exhibited her “Dying to be Brown “, series of photographs on Bleaching as part of Kingston on the Edge Urban
Arts Festival (KOTE). In October 2016 her photographs were part of the Caribbean Family History Exhibition at Solihull Library, Birmingham, England. In February 2017 Paulette entered the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission Jamaica Visual Arts Competition and Exhibition and was awarded a Bronze award for her piece entitled “Going Home” and her sculpture piece “The Dance of the Emphemerons” was awarded a merit
